How to Log In to Your VPS?

Accessing your VPS control panel

At Hostinger, we provide VPS hosting with a broad variety of available templates: combinations of Operating Systems (OS) and control panels.

While you can manage most of the basic settings from the VPS dashboard of your hPanel, some additional configurations and added functionalities will require you to log in to your control panel. To log in, you will require the login URL, as well as your panel username and password - in some cases, the panel credentials may differ from your server's root username and password.

How to Log In to Your Control Panel

On VPS Overview page, click on Manage Panel:

You can also login directly to your panel via URL. Check the instructions on the table below corresponding to your panel.

How to Log In to a Different Panel

If your panel is not in the list, search for the panel’s official documentation for the login information. For example, here is an official article from cPanel about how to log in to the server with cPanel on it.

How to Log In Using a Domain Name

To log in to your VPS control panel using a domain name, such as https://domain.tld:2083, you'll need to assign your domain to the server and install an SSL certificate.

Managing your domains through hPanel streamlines domain registrations, transfers, subdomains, and DNS setting management.

All your domains are listed in the Domain portfolio section. View the status and expiration date of each domain, toggle auto-renewal, and access individual settings for each domain.

If you need to register a new domain, click Add new domain. Or, if you need to transfer a domain from another registrar to Hostinger, select Transfers.

To open the Domain Overview for each domain name, select a domain and click on Manage:

Use hPanel to manage various aspects of your domain:

• DNS / Nameservers. Configure DNS records such as A, CNAME, MX, and TXT, and create child nameservers.
• Transfer lock. Prevent unauthorized domain transfers.
• Privacy protection (WPP). Protect your personal information by enabling WHOIS privacy.
• Domain Ownership. View ownership information and move domain to another Hostinger account.

VPS

hPanel provides robust tools for managing your Virtual Private Servers (VPS), giving you control over resources and performance.

In the VPS section, view and manage your VPS plans. Get an overview of server details, SSH access, and the overall status of your servers. Click Get new VPS plan to purchase new plans.

Open the overview of an individual VPS by selecting your desired plan and clicking Manage

Use hPanel to manage various aspects of your VPS account:

• Set up VPS. Follow the on-screen steps for setup, including SSH access, updating the server, creating users, enabling public-key authentication, and configuring a firewall.
• Configure tools. Install necessary tools like LAMP and SSH keys. If you need to double-check some Linux commands, simply prompt and get instant answers from the Kodee AI assistant.
• Domain management. Point your domain to your VPS by changing the A record or setting up custom nameservers.
• Configure settings. Create backups, monitor server resource usage, reinstall operating systems, and manage licenses.

Other settings

hPanel is also your dashboard for managing everything related to your Hostinger account. From invoices and resetting your password to managing referrals and accessing tutorials, hPanel is built to empower you to succeed online.

Billing

The Billing section of hPanel makes it easy to keep track of your financial transactions with Hostinger.

Get a snapshot of the renewal prices, expiration dates, and all active and expired subscriptions in your account. You can also add payment methods and view your account’s payment history here.

WordPress Add-ons

In this section, you can set up automatic website reports, monitor website security and performance, create website presets, and transfer WordPress website ownership.

Referral program

The Referral Program enables you to earn rewards by inviting others to use Hostinger’s services.

You can generate and share referral links with friends and colleagues, making it easy to invite others. Once shared, you can monitor the status of your referrals and the rewards you earn.

Marketplace

Use the Marketplace to explore and purchase add-ons and services to enhance your hosting experience. Discover additional tools and features that can be integrated into your hosting plan.
